Yapaholics Podcast

About

We're Not Journalists. We're Just Really Good at Talking to People.

Yapaholics started because Pensacola has too many good stories to let them sit in a group chat. Great local businesses, wild history, hidden fishing spots, the best bourbon pour on Palafox — somebody needed to actually talk about it out loud, on the record, with a microphone. So we did.

We're a Pensacola-based podcast covering everything that makes the Florida Panhandle worth living in (or moving to). Part local hangout, part deep-dive interview show, part unofficial welcome wagon for anyone thinking about trading their old zip code for a Gulf Coast one.

If you've ever wondered what it's actually like to live here — not the tourist-brochure version, the real one — you're in the right place.

What We Talk About

We keep it wide open, because Pensacola life isn't one-note:

  • Property & Places — neighborhoods, new developments, and the "wait, where is that?" spots worth knowing

  • The Pour — bourbon, whiskey, and the local bars pouring it right

  • Panhandle Life — the culture, the characters, the things only locals know

  • Podcast Culture — conversations with the people building something in this town

  • Local Business — the shops, restaurants, and small businesses that make this place this place

  • Relocation Reality — the honest, no-fluff version of what it's like to actually move here

Who's Behind the Mic

Yapaholics is hosted by Matt and CJ — two guys who talk the way you'd talk to a friend at Palafox Market, not the way a press release talks to you. Matt runs point on the show and content, CJ books the guests and keeps the local connections flowing. Between the two of them, they've got their finger on the pulse of pretty much everything happening from downtown Pensacola out to Perdido Key.

Fair warning: we're both a little too passionate about this town. Hence the name.

Thinking About Making the Move to the Panhandle?

We hear from a lot of soon-to-be transplants, and we get it — moving somewhere new is a big leap. Between our episodes and our free local guides, we've basically built the friend-group orientation you wish you had before moving here.
